What:
Council President Shannon Hardin and Councilmember Shayla Favor will join health and community leaders to announce a proposal to invest a $1 million tobacco cessation campaign. The public and private funding partnership would work to help those addicted to nicotine. The 2023 Comprehensive Tobacco Cessation Education and Awareness Campaign would provide access to resources and programs through community events, youth education, and training for medical professionals.
