Gardening Season to be Launched with Grant Award Announcement

WHAT:
Organizations selected to receive support for community gardening projects will be celebrated as part of a joint grant program made possible by Mayor Michael B. Coleman, Columbus City Councilmember Priscilla R. Tyson, and the Franklin County Board of Commissioners. Brief comments will be followed by distribution of over 160 pallets of soil, mulch and plant food donated by program partner, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company. Assistance loading donations will be provided by Fifth Third Bank employees as part of the company’s Firth Third Day service program.
