Columbus
City Councilmember Michelle M. Mills, chair of the Public Safety and Judiciary
Committee, will hold a public hearing to discuss proposed code changes to the
City’s vehicle for hire industry. The changes include measures to
modernize the code and increase safety when individuals or groups are riding in
a cab, livery, or horse carriage. Many of the changes have been
discussed at Vehicle for Hire Board meetings for the last several months.
Speaker slips will be accepted on the day of the hearing until 5:30 pm. The
meeting will be broadcast live on CTV, Columbus’ cable access channel 3 on
local cable systems.
