City Council Reviews Race Permitting Process

WHAT:
Columbus City Council President Andrew J. Ginther will hold
a public hearing to discuss ordinance 0574-2013, which includes proposed
changes to the City race permitting process.
The legislation looks to streamline the permitting process and improve
communication with residents who live in neighborhoods impacted by racing events. The proposed legislation is the
result of many months of stakeholder meetings and input from the community and
will better coordinate City resources when a road race occurs. Speaker slips
will be accepted on the day of the hearing until 5:30 pm. The meeting will be
broadcast live on CTV, Columbus’ cable access channel 3 on local cable systems.
