Council to Conduct Public Hearing on Proposed Utilities Code Change

Who:
Council President Pro Tem Michael Stinziano

When:

Wednesday, February 6, 2019
5:30pm

Where:

City Hall
Council Chambers
90 W. Broad St.

What:

Council President Pro Tem Michael Stinziano will convene a public hearing to address  proposed changes to the current water, sewer and electricity code language, Title 11. The ordinance is intended to add definitions of rate classes, to clarify service charges during water shut offs, and insert language clarifying the replacement of water meters. This hearing will not address water and sewer rates paid by residents and businesses, as those charges are recommended on an annual basis by the Sewer and Water Advisory Board.

All interested citizens are invited to offer public testimony. Anyone wishing to address City Council on this matter must fill out a speaker slip between 8am-5:30pm on the day of the hearing at Columbus City Hall.

This hearing is available live stream on the  CTV website and broadcasted on Spectrum, Channel 1024; WOW, Channel 3 and AT&T U-verse, Channel 99. The video will also be posted on the  City of Columbus YouTube channel following the event.
