The All-American and Heisman Trophy-winning Ohio State University halfback, Howard “Hopalong” Cassady, was called the “Genius of the Gridiron” and the “Modern Day Chic Harley” in recognition of his great football achievements.
An outstanding professional football career with the Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles followed his feats at Columbus Central High School and Ohio State.
His fine sportsmanship and sincere modesty also have won him wide acclaim.
