What is a typical day like for you?
My typical day is different from one day to
another, some days in the field and some days in the office. My work in the
office, usually preparing deed research to stake-out the Right of Way, upload
& download the points for construction layout & Topographic Survey,
draft As-built Survey and Topographic Survey using Auto Cad) .
In the field, I perform construction layout
(such as stake-out water line & Right of Way), Topographic Survey &
As-built Survey using GPS (global positioning systems) & Robotic Total
Station, also storm & sanitary inspection.
What made you want to work for the city of Columbus, Department of Public Service?
I have worked in the private sector and in
the public sector. And, to me, I just believe it’s an honor and a privilege to
work with the government on behalf of people. Also, I believe the city has
better benefits, better jobs, and great experience.
