Get Involved!
Help ensure everyone is aware of RecyColumbus! If
you are planning a neighborhood event, include RecyColumbus. Consider the
following:
-
Fill out
the event registration form to get free promotional materials such as temporary
tattoos, information cards, and kids coloring pages (while supplies last)
- Choose the right event. You don’t have to create your
own. Consider partnering with an existing event or activity. We suggest events
and locations such as festivals, concerts, sporting events, community meetings,
or farmer’s markets.
- You don't have to know it all. Program questions are answered online at www.RecyColumbus.org or residents can call 614-645-3111
- Keep it interesting:
-Invite friends, family and neighbors to help
-Brainstorm ways to engage people. For example, ask fun questions and give out promotional items.
-Be enthusiastic! Volunteers should consider wearing a RecyColumbus temporary tattoo and be highly energetic to draw extra attention.
Are
you interested in having a recycling ambassador from the City of Columbus talk
to your group, class, or at an event? You
can contact Derek Wholihan at [email protected] or Columbus Greenspot at [email protected] to request a speaker.
You
can also give a recycling presentation yourself by using the RecyColumbus
Powerpoint Presentation. Need talking points? You can download the powerpoint
with talking points.
