Volunteering for CPH


The Office of Public Health Practice coordinates and supports the placement of volunteers at Columbus Public Health. Volunteers are needed in various programs throughout the year, with some ongoing opportunities.  A special placement may also be possible based on your interests and experience.

Ongoing Volunteers Opportunities

Rabies Clinics
Volunteers needed to help run public rabies vaccination clinics for dogs, cats and ferrets, a monthly clinic occurring year-round.

Franklin County & Columbus Medical Reserve Corps Volunteers
Medical, public health, and other professionals volunteer for times of disaster and public health emergency, as well as non-emergency community education and service.

Volunteer Placement

Candidates for placement should send by e-mail or mail: 

  • Preferred program(s) or area(s) of interest
  • Timeframe wishing to volunteer - dates, number of hours, etc.
