Support Services Administrator
Ramona Patts is a Public Safety professional that has been involved in the field since 1981. She first joined the City of Columbus Police department in 1981 and rose to the rank of Lieutenant in 1994. During those years, she spent 17 years in patrol at all ranks, and served as the Lieutenant of the budget, Crimes against Persons(Robbery and Sexual Abuse) and finished her Police career in charge of the Technology Section. She retired from the Columbus Police Department in 2008.
She was then hired by the Director of the Department of Public Safety for the City of Columbus to be the Assistant Administrator of the Division of Support Services. She was promoted in 2010 to Division Administrator. The Division of Support Services is the support Division for both Police and Fire Departments in regards to Radio communications, telephony, 911, CAD for Police and Fire and install of communication and electronic equipment in police vehicles and fire apparatus.
She holds an Associate's Degree from Columbus State Community College, Bachelors Degree from Franklin University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has also attended Northwestern University's Police Staff and Command School and the Public Safety Executive Management Program. She has attended FBI-LEEDA Executive Management Training and along with numerous FEMA courses that directly relate to Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
