Veteran Services Coordinator
Columbus, Ohio is strengthened by the over 60,000 military
veterans who make this city our home. In
ways big and small, they enrich the lives of every resident and ensure a bright
future for all. As they come home, these
veterans maintain a strong commitment to service through rich civic
participation and kinship. Columbus,
Ohio is home to over 150 Veteran Service Organizations that sponsor nearly 300 programs.
As an employer, the City of Columbus is also proud to boast
over 900 veterans in their ranks, nearly 10% of our workforce. Our commitment to first-in-class support for
military veterans as an employer has garnered nationwide recognition by both
the ESGR and
Department of Labor HIRE Vets program. The City of Columbus retains a full-time
Veteran Services Coordinator, Zane Jones, whose primary responsibility is to
ensure the city supports its military veterans as employees and maintain strong
and productive relationships with Veterans and Veteran Service Organizations in
the community. If you or your
organization has information or suggestions, please feel free to email Zane
Jones at [email protected]
