Q: How long have you worked for the city of
Columbus? What keeps you here?
A: I have been here 30 years. I enjoy my job and the people I work
with. I like being by myself in the
truck. I like the hours, the benefits. I kind of think my job is fun, I get to drive
a big truck!
Q: How would you describe your work/life
balance?
A: There’s
a good balance. Because I start working
at 6 a.m., I get off at 2:00 p.m., I am able to keep up with my family more
easily. I don’t have to deal with
traffic going into work or going home. I
have time for my kids and for myself. I
have a lot of time to get my own ‘life’ stuff done.
