Columbus Public Service Changes Due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Collection:
Columbus trash
collection service will not be provided on Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of
Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
For residents
assigned a collection color, pickup will rotate forward by one day the week of
the holiday:

Jan.

Jan.

Monday,
Jan.

The color-coded collection schedule will
rotate forward again on Presidents
Day, Monday, Feb. 17.
For
residents not assigned a collection color: If your collection day falls on or after
the holiday, your trash pickup will be delayed by one day during the week of
the holiday.
Recycling
and Yard Waste Collection:
Biweekly recycling and yard waste service with a collection day that falls on
or after the holiday will be delayed by one day during the week of the holiday,
with Friday’s collection occurring on Saturday.

can check their collection days and set collection schedule reminders on our

Parking
Meters: Motorists
may park free of charge at meters on Monday,
Jan. 20. Parking restriction signage at some meters will
be enforced, including but not limited to morning and evening rush hours and
zones marked for valets, taxis, loading, handicapped-only and residential
parking permit areas.
Offices
Closed: Department
offices, including the Parking
Violations Bureau and the Right-of-Way
Permits Office, will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20.
