City of Columbus service changes due to Columbus Day
City trash
service in Columbus will not be provided on Monday, October 10, 2016, in
observance of the Columbus Day holiday.
For residents assigned a collection color, pickup will rotate
forward by one day the week of the holiday:

For residents not assigned a collection color: If your collection day
falls on or after the holiday, your trash pickup will be delayed by one day
during the week of the holiday.
Recycling and yard-waste collection: Bi-weekly recycling and
yard-waste service with a collection day that falls on or after the holiday
will be delayed by one day during the week of the holiday, with Friday’s
collection occurring on Saturday.
The
color-coded schedule will rotate again on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24.
City services will be provided on Veterans’ Day,
Friday, Nov. 11.
Motorists may park free-of-charge at meters on
Oct. 10. Parking restriction signage at some meters will be enforced,
including but not limited to morning and evening rush hours plus zones marked
for valets, taxis, loading, handicapped-only and residential parking permits.
The Parking Violations Bureau at 2700 Impound Lot
Road will be closed Columbus Day then reopen 9 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Normal hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
