Eakin Road Sidewalks - Salisbury Rd. to S. Hague Ave.
The city of
Columbus is continuing its initiative to build sidewalks in neighborhoods when
none exist. The planned improvements for Eakin Road between Hague Avenue and
Salisbury Road will increase safety and promote healthy lifestyles for
pedestrians, schoolchildren, mobility-impaired and vision-impaired users.
Plans
include:
Constructing
sidewalks, Americans with Disabilities Act- compliant ramps and curbs on
both sides of Eakin Road
Adding
pavement markings to define crosswalks

Starts in May and finishes in August 2017, subject to weather conditions

Design,
construction and inspections: $757,000.
