Columbus Public Service Changes Because Of Memorial Day
Trash Collection:
Columbus trash collection service will not
be provided on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day.
For residents assigned a collection color,
pickup will rotate forward by one day the week of the holiday:
Monday, May 29: | NO COLLECTION |

Tuesday, May 30: | Navy |
|
Wednesday, May 31: | Pink |
|
Thursday, June 1: | Ruby |
|
Friday, June 2: | Gold |
|
Monday, June 5 | Gray |
|
The color-coded collection schedule will rotate forward again on Independence
Day, Monday, July 3.
For residents not assigned a collection color: If your collection day falls on or after the holiday,
your trash pickup will be delayed by one day during the week of the holiday.
Recycling and Yard Waste Collection:
Bi-weekly recycling and yard-waste service with a
collection day that falls on or after the holiday will be delayed by one day
during the week of the holiday, with Friday’s collection occurring on
Saturday.

Parking Meters:
Motorists may park free-of-charge at meters on Monday,
May 29. Parking restriction signage at some meters will be enforced,
including but not limited to morning and evening rush hours and zones marked
for valets, taxis, loading, handicapped-only and residential parking permit
areas.
Offices Closed:
City offices, including the Parking
Violations Bureau and the Right-of-Way Permits Office will be closed on Monday, May 29. Normal
hours for the PVB are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
