At that location, officers found 31-year-old J.E. who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. |

| Details: On May 12, 2023, Patrol Officers responded to the 900 Block of Mt. Vernon Ave on a shooting. Upon arrival, the officers located the victims a short distance north of this location. Victim #1, Javon Tucker, was unresponsive and transported to a local area hospital. Victim #2, M.G., had a minor gun shot wound and was transported to a local area hospital. Javon Tucker succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1:58pm. Victim #2 is expected to recover from his injuries. At this time, investigators are still attempting to identify the suspects, and determine the circumstances of this incident. |

Officers arrived at scene and found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid until CFD Medic personnel arrived at which point they pronounced the victim deceased at 12:58pm. A description of the suspect was aired and he was apprehended a short time later. The suspect was interviewed, charged with Reckless Homicide and slated at the Franklin County Jail. |

The victim was transported to a local area hospital, despite receiving life saving medical care, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at 9:57pm. The suspect, Michael Wright, was taken into custody a short distance from the scene. The suspect was charged with homicide; however, remains under guard at a local hospital at this time. |

Victims #2- #5 were transported to local hospitals for treatment for their injuries and are expected to survive. Victims #6 and #7 were inside the residence during the incident but were not injured. Victim # 8's house was damaged by the gunfire and he was not injured. |
