Residents Asked to Share Feedback on Scioto Trail Expansion via Online Open House
COLUMBUS, OH – Columbus’ parks and trails add to the
quality of life in our community. Columbus Recreation and Parks Department continually
invests in facilities to ensure residents have access to these vital resources.
The Scioto Trail currently ends at West Fifth Avenue (view
a map of the Scioto Trail). Plans for future trail construction leave a gap
in the regional trail network between West Fifth Avenue and Griggs Park.
Columbus Recreation and Parks is conducting a study to explore ways to address
the gap and improve walking and biking facilities in the study area (see map
below).
Public input is vital to that study, and the department is
hosting an online open house to gather feedback from residents. This online
open house is being held in lieu of an in-person meeting to afford residents
the opportunity to provide feedback from the safety of their homes during the
public health emergency.
