This wildlife oasis occupies the Whittier Peninsula, which for most of Columbus’ history was an industrial area dominated by factories, warehouses and railroad yards. Having been meticulously restored, and opening in 2009, the park features wetlands, boat launches and one of the nation’s largest outdoor climbing walls. It is also home to the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, a stopover for thousands of birds that migrate north from Central and South America. Click here to learn more.
