2017 Frederick J. Yates, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Diversity Business Award Recipient Congratulations to Rishi Bhanot, President of
Bear Environmental LLC

The award was created to honor the legacy of Frederick J. Yates, Jr., a long time minority business advocate, entrepreneur, and former City Director. Fred worked tirelessly to help every business owner whom he believed had “fire in the belly” - his phrase to describe the unrelenting drive to achieve the greatness within.

The awardee received full tuition to the Tuck Executive Education minority business program, “Building a High-Performing Minority Business”,
April 2-7, 2017 at Dartmouth College in
Hanover, New Hampshire.

Our office is mandated by city code to monitor, analyze and report minority, women, and veteran business enterprises utilization for all city departments, based upon city contract awards, contract payments, and vendor registration data.

For a limited time, Citywide Training & Development is offering FREE professional development training seminars to qualified small businesses and their employees. A wide range of soft skills course are available!



Effective January 01, 2015, Only licensed construction trade subcontractors prequalified responsible or prequalified provisionally responsible may subcontract or perform on city construction service work.



Grants Management - Grants Management provides for the administration of HUD's environmental review requirements for all HUD grants received by the public housing authority and non-profit agencies.
