Community Immunity: Point of Dispensing Project
The Community Immunity Point of Dispensing (POD) project was developed with the
goal of providing support materials needed for a community to maximize their
resources by utilizing their faith- based organizations, schools and private
businesses to dispense medical countermeasures in a timely and efficient manner
in urban, suburban and rural areas. This
webinar described information for local health departments on how they can
implement it. Cheryl, Murphy, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for Toledo-Lucas County Health Department shared lessons learned as well as best practices for
using community partners to run and staff PODs.
