As
Hurricane Sandy hit the shore of New York in late October last year, FDNY
Twitter monitored their feed and responded to those most in need. As
power was lost through various parts of the city, social media became not only
a source of information for emergency responders, but also a lifeline for many
residents caught in Sandy's wrath. Please enjoy their story and
