Botulism Outbreak - April 2015: A Local Public Health perspective

This webinar provided an overview of a church potluck and how a homemade dish led to largest botulism outbreak in the United States in nearly 40 years. Fairfield County Health Department Emergency Response Coordinator, Marrilee Taylor, discussed the amount of coordination with local, regional and federal partners for this response. The discussion outlined some of the unique challenges a local health department faces when managing an outbreak of this magnitude.
