Hudson - McGuffey Area Green Infrastructure

This project will construct rain gardens along Genessee Avenue, Manchester Avenue and the south side of Weber Road between Hamilton and Cleveland Avenues; along Arlington Avenue between Dresden Street and Cleveland Avenue; along Ontario Street and Medina Avenue between Genessee Avenue and Weber Road; along Dresden Street, Bremen Street and Greenwich Street between Loretta Avenue and Manchester Avenue and at the northwest corners of Minnesota Avenue and Cleveland Avenue, as well as Hudson Street and Cleveland Avenue. It will also construct a small regional stormwater facility at the southwest corner of Arlington Avenue and Bremen Street.

The goal of the project is to provide detention and water quality improvement to rain water that will be redirected from the sanitary sewer system by future Blueprint projects. For more information see the Blueprint Linden project summary

The estimated construction cost is approximately $4.3 million. Financing is being provided through a below market-rate loan through the OEPA’s Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) Program. Prior to granting this loan, the Ohio EPA required a detailed submittal from the Division of Sewerage and Drainage to determine the project’s eligibility.
